Build the next wave of hardware at 7Semi

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded hardware for sensors, communication modules and control systems.
• Create schematics and multilayer PCB layouts using tools like Altium Designer, KiCad or Eagle.
• Select components (MCUs, sensors, power ICs, etc.) to balance performance, reliability and cost.
• Perform basic signal-integrity, power and thermal checks during design.
• Build and test prototypes, run validation and support regulatory certification (CE, FCC, etc.).
• Work with firmware engineers on hardware–software bring-up and debugging.
• Support DFM/DFT requirements for smooth manufacturing and testing.
• Maintain design files, BOMs and test procedures as per 7Semi product standards.
• Contribute ideas to continuously improve our hardware design processes and tools.

Required qualifications

• BE / BTech / ME / MTech in Electronics, Electrical or related discipline.
• 0–2+ years of experience in hardware or embedded systems design (strong projects also considered).
• Good hands-on skills with schematic capture and PCB design software.
• Experience with microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, etc.) and peripherals like I²C, SPI, UART, RS-485, CAN.
• Working knowledge of analog circuits, power management and EMI/EMC basics.
• Comfortable using lab equipment such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer and bench supplies.

Preferred skills

• Experience designing IoT or industrial sensor hardware.
• Exposure to LTE/4G, GNSS, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth module integration.
• Familiarity with Altium Designer and KiCad workflows.
• Basic understanding of embedded C/C++ firmware for bring-up and testing.
• Awareness of production testing, quality control and documentation practices.

What you’ll work on

• Write and maintain firmware for sensor, connectivity and gateway modules.
• Integrate protocols like MQTT, HTTP(S), Modbus, RS485 and WebSerial.
• Create clean reference examples and Arduino/STM32Cube libraries.
• Debug issues with hardware engineers using logs, scope and logic analyser.

What we’re looking for

• Strong C / C++ for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex / ESP32).
• Experience with at least one platform: Arduino, STM32Cube, ESP-IDF or FreeRTOS.
• Comfortable using Git and reading datasheets/timing diagrams.
• Bonus: experience with cloud dashboards, OTA or production test firmware.

• Bonus: SEO knowledge, blog experience, or YouTube/tutorial creation.

What you’ll work on

• Process daily website/marketplace orders and prepare dispatch paperwork.
• Coordinate with courier partners and track shipments.
• Update stock levels, help with basic inward/outward inventory checks.
• Support simple packing/labeling improvements to reduce errors and delays.

What we’re looking for

• 0–2 years experience in operations / logistics / e-commerce (freshers welcome).
• Comfortable with basic Excel/Google Sheets and online tools.
• Good communication and ownership of daily tasks.
• Bonus: experience with e-commerce platforms or export shipping.

What you’ll work on

• Design, test and integrate robotic subsystems including motors, drivers, sensors and controllers.
• Develop control algorithms for motion control, path planning and actuator control.
• Work with microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32) and SBCs (Raspberry Pi, Jetson).
• Integrate IMUs, encoders, LiDAR, ultrasonic, ToF and other robotics sensors.
• Develop ROS/ROS2 nodes, simulation models and hardware interfaces.
• Prototype mechanisms using 3D printing, machining and modular assemblies.
• Collaborate with firmware and electronics teams for bring-up and debugging.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of kinematics, dynamics and control systems.
• Experience with Python / C++ / MATLAB for robotics development.
• Hands-on skills with BLDC/Stepper/Servo motors and driver electronics.
• Comfortable working with sensors, embedded systems and testing tools.

Preferred skills

• Experience with ROS/ROS2, Gazebo, MoveIt or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of SLAM, computer vision, machine perception or mapping.
• Mechanical design skills (Fusion 360 / SolidWorks).
• Experience designing robotic arms, mobile robots or automation systems.
