DS18B20 Waterproof Temperature Sensor Probe 8inch 1M Wire

The temperature sensor probe features an 8-inch steel probe and a 1-meter wire length. This probe utilizes the DS18B20 digital thermometer, offering Celsius temperature measurements ranging from 9 to 12 bits. It includes an alarm function with user-programmable upper and lower trigger points stored in nonvolatile memory.

The DS18B20 communicates through a 1-Wire bus, necessitating only a single data line (and ground) for interaction with a central microprocessor. Notably, it can draw power directly from the data line, known as "parasite power," eliminating the requirement for an external power supply.

This DS18B20-based probe proves especially useful for measuring the temperature of objects in wet conditions. The digital output of the DS18B20 mitigates the risk of signal loss or noise, making it suitable for temperature measurements at a distance from the controller or processing unit by extending the wire length.
