This Raspberry Pi or a board compatible with 40 pins is equipped with the Quectel EC20 miniPCle module, specifically optimized for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It achieves a maximum data transfer speed of 150 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads.

The EC20 Mini PCIe adheres to the standard PCI Express MiniCard form factor (MiniPCIe) and is designed to offer global network coverage through LTE connectivity. It supports data rates of 50 Mbps for uploads and 100 Mbps for downloads on LTE FDD networks. Furthermore, it maintains full backward compatibility with existing UMTS, GSM, and GPRS networks. The EC20 Mini PCIe comes in three variants: EC20-E Mini PCIe, EC20-A Mini PCIe, and EC20-C Mini PCIe, ensuring compatibility with existing EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks. This feature guarantees connectivity even in remote areas where 4G or 3G coverage may be absent.
