The 7Semi FT232 USB to RS485 Converter Module provides a simple and reliable way to connect a computer to RS485 devices and networks. It converts USB communication into the differential RS485 signals required by industrial controllers, sensors, meters, PLCs, MODBUS devices, and other RS485 equipment. The onboard FT232RL USB interface works together with the RS485 transceiver to provide stable communication without requiring an external converter.
The board provides a convenient 3-pin screw terminal with A, B, and G connections for secure RS485 wiring. Automatic transmit and receive direction control simplifies half-duplex communication, making the module easy to use for device configuration, MODBUS RTU communication, industrial testing, debugging, and field servicing.
