The 7Semi Human Presence and Motion Sensor is engineered around the STHS34PF80, a highly sensitive infrared sensing device that measures black-body radiation with precision. This compact board provides reliable human presence detection, motion sensing and ambient temperature monitoring within an 80° field of view, making it suitable for smart automation and safety applications. Its floating vacuum thermal transistor architecture eliminates self-heating errors by comparing exposed and shielded IR sensing elements, providing dependable performance across diverse indoor environments.
Designed for rapid prototyping and IoT integration, this module features a 6-pin JST XH 2.5mm side-entry connector, onboard PTH pins (3V3, GND, SCL, SDA, CS, INT), a red power LED, and standard mounting holes for effortless installation. The built-in algorithms distinguish stationary objects from dynamic ones, enabling effective human presence detection up to 4 metres without additional optics. Its wide 5–20 µm IR band-pass filter and low-power architecture ensure robust performance in lighting-independent scenarios such as smart lighting, automation, alarm systems, and occupancy analytics.
