The 7Semi FT232 UART Module provides a simple USB Type C -to-UART connection for communicating between a computer and microcontrollers, development boards, embedded controllers, and other serial devices. It converts USB communication into UART signals, allowing users to send commands, read serial data, configure hardware, and troubleshoot communication using standard serial-terminal or development software. The FT232R handles the USB protocol internally, so no USB-specific firmware is required on the connected target device.

The module is suitable for development, programming support, debugging, production testing, device configuration, and general serial communication. Its UART interface supports different logic-voltage systems, while the integrated USB interface, clock, EEPROM, and regulator help keep the design compact and easy to use.
