The 7Semi SGP41 Air Quality Sensor is designed for continuous indoor air-quality monitoring using Sensirion’s MOx gas-sensing technology. It detects changes in airborne gases and converts them into digital signals that can be read easily through an I²C interface. An integrated temperature-controlled micro-hotplate keeps the sensing element at the required operating condition for reliable and repeatable measurements. The sensor also supports external temperature and humidity input for compensation, helping maintain consistent performance under changing environmental conditions. The measured raw signal can be processed using Sensirion’s Gas Index Algorithm to provide an easy-to-understand air-quality index for monitoring and control systems. SGP40 provides VOC-based air-quality sensing, while SGP41 adds a separate NOx sensing channel along with VOC measurement. This makes the SGP41 suitable for applications such as air purifiers, ventilation systems, smart-home devices and indoor air-quality monitoring.
Note-:
1) Temperature and humidity values can be supplied externally for compensation; the SGP41 does not measure temperature, humidity, or pressure.
2) When powered through VIN, the 3V3 pin provides a regulated 3.3V output up to 50mA. Alternatively, the board can be powered directly by supplying a regulated 3.3V to the 3V3 pin.
