The 7Semi TPS60401 Negative Voltage Generator Module is a compact charge pump voltage inverter designed to generate a negative output voltage from a positive input supply. It is useful for circuits that require a small negative voltage rail without using an inductor-based switching regulator.
The module accepts an input voltage from 1.6V to 5.5V and produces an unregulated negative output approximately equal to the inverted input voltage. For example, a 5V input can generate approximately -5V output under light load conditions. It can support up to 60mA output current, making it suitable for op-amp biasing, LCD bias, sensor supplies, portable instruments, and battery-powered electronics.
With only a few external capacitors required, this compact module provides a simple and space-saving solution for generating negative supply rails in embedded, analog, and portable electronics projects.
