The 7SEMI BMI270 Nano is a compact, low-power 6-axis IMU sensor board built around Bosch Sensortec's high-performance BMI270 inertial measurement unit. Designed for seamless integration into motion-sensitive applications, this nano-sized module includes a Qwiic-compatible connector for easy plug-and-play functionality with microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and STM32 platforms.

With its powerful on-chip processing, interrupt-driven motion detection, and configurable gyroscope/accelerometer features, the BMI270 Nano is ideal for motion detection, context awareness, and wearable devices.

Key Features

  • 6-Axis Motion Sensing: 3-axis 16-bit accelerometer and 3-axis 16-bit gyroscope

  • Ultra-Low Power: Only 685 µA in normal mode (IMU active)

  • Full-Scale Ranges:

    • Accelerometer: ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, ±16g

    • Gyroscope: ±125 dps to ±2000 dps

  • Advanced Features:

    • Any/No Motion, Significant Motion, Step Counter

    • Wrist-wear Gesture Detection (Push/Pivot, Flick In/Out, Jiggle)

  • On-Chip FIFO: 2 KB buffer for sensor data & timestamps
