The 7Semi BME690 Environmental Sensor combines temperature, relative humidity and barometric pressure sensing in a compact solution for environmental monitoring. It is recommended for room climate monitoring, weather stations, home automation and connected sensor networks. Its low-power operation supports portable and battery-powered designs, while configurable measurement settings allow developers to balance measurement frequency, signal noise and power consumption according to their application.
The integrated gas sensor responds to volatile organic compounds (VOCs), supporting indoor air quality monitoring. When used with Bosch BSEC software on a compatible host, its readings can be processed to provide an Index for Air Quality (IAQ), bVOC-equivalent and CO₂-equivalent outputs. CO₂-equivalent is an estimated value derived from gas-sensor responses, not a direct measurement of CO₂ concentration
