The 7Semi ENS130 CO Sensor Breakout Board is a compact analog carbon monoxide (CO) sensing module designed for rapid integration into embedded systems, IoT devices, and safety monitoring applications. Based on the ScioSense ENS130 electrochemical fuel-cell CO sensor, this breakout converts the sensor's nanoamp-level output into an analog voltage using an onboard precision signal conditioning circuit, allowing direct interfacing with microcontrollers, ADCs, PLCs, and industrial controllers.

Unlike bare electrochemical sensors that require external amplification and precision analog circuitry, this breakout board includes the necessary analog front-end, making it suitable for quick prototyping and product development. It is ideal for applications such as indoor air quality monitoring, residential and commercial CO alarms, battery energy storage systems (BESS), industrial safety equipment, smart building automation, and portable gas detection instruments.

The board operates from a 5V supply, provides a linear analog output proportional to CO concentration, and offers low-power operation suitable for continuously powered monitoring systems. The ENS130 sensor measures carbon monoxide concentrations from 0 to 5000 ppm, with fast response time, excellent stability, and a typical service life of up to 10 years.
