The 7Semi ILD205T Dual Channel Optocoupler Isolation Module is a compact signal isolation board designed to provide reliable electrical isolation between low-voltage microcontrollers and high-voltage or noisy industrial circuits. Built around the Vishay ILD205T dual-channel phototransistor optocoupler, the module offers two independent isolated channels capable of transmitting digital signals while maintaining galvanic isolation up to 4000VRMS between input and output circuits.

Optical isolation protects sensitive electronics from voltage spikes, ground loops, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and accidental wiring faults commonly encountered in industrial automation, motor control, PLC systems, power electronics, and embedded control applications. The ILD205T features a phototransistor output architecture that allows efficient signal transfer with low power consumption and excellent reliability.

This module is ideal for safely interfacing Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, RP2040, industrial controllers, data acquisition systems, relay boards, motor drivers, and high-voltage equipment where electrical isolation is critical for system safety and long-term reliability.

The board provides dedicated input and output terminals for each channel, simplifying integration into industrial and embedded designs while reducing PCB design complexity.

Key Features

This module is intended for low-speed digital signal isolation, industrial control interfaces, PLC systems, relay feedback, GPIO protection, and general-purpose galvanic isolation. It is not recommended for high-speed communication interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, CAN, SPI, or high-frequency I²C isolation applications.

    Expected more for the price. It kind of works but the data transfer are noisy and unreliable. Looking into alternatives now.
